Based on the information in a 2016 A4 brochure the original owner would have had to specify the LED Interior Lighting Pack (Option QQ1) to get lighting on the exterior door handles (I know it says Interior in the description!), so most likely your car does have that option. According to Audi official literature SSP 990503, the MMI speed limit is based on data stored in the navigation database, while the speed limit on HUD is a recognition system read by the camera at rear mirror. Unfortunately to-date it can only recognize European road signs and it cannot display North American speed limit on HUD.
